The COVID-19 pandemic has affected several families across the world with the deadly virus having taken many lives until now. Like everyone else currently, several Hollywood celebrities have been constantly sharing how they manage to stay at home in self-quarantine. On the other hand, amidst the Coronavirus outbreak, Avengers: Endgame star Evangeline Lilly recently received a lot of flak for her controversial statements related to COVID-19. After being trolled, Evangeline Lily took to her social media to pen down an apology and mentioned how sorry she is.

On Instagram, Evangeline Lilly shared a picture of her kids playing a board game like Monopoly and penned down a long caption. In the caption, Evangeline explained her reasons for her controversial comments and apologised to everyone out there. Lilly wrote, “At the time of my Mar 16th post, the directives from the authorities here were that we not congregate in groups of more than 250ppl and that we wash our hands regularly, which we were doing," talking about the post she got trolled on for her insensitive comments on the situation.

Evangeline Lilly then added how two days later, the directives changed despite her intense trepidation over the socioeconomic and political repercussions of the course of action. The actress then mentioned how she has been doing the needful to flatten the curve, by practicing social distancing and staying at home with her family. Evangeline then shared how she wants to offer her sincere and heartfelt apology for the insensitivity she showed in her previous post to the very real suffering and fear that has gripped the world through COVID-19. For the unversed, referring to the pandemic, Evangeline Lilly wrote, “I am also immune-compromised at the moment. I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices," on her Instagram. Later, the Avengers: Endgame star received a lot of flak for her controversial statement for not understanding and her insensitivity towards the loss of lives and the situation the world has been facing.
